Bundek in Zagreb hosted the first “National Barbecue with PIK” event of the year yesterday afternoon.
Numerous music stars and public figures took advantage of the sunny afternoon to spend time with colleagues and their families. The Bebeks, Plechingers, Dumančićs, and Mihaljevićs gathered alongside Antonija Šola, Mirna Maras, Ribafish, and DJs from Narodni radio—Dalibor Petko, Davor Dretar Drele, and Nives Čanović, who used the occasion to enjoy time with her dog Marley.
“I’m glad I’m not traveling this time, so I could finally come to the Narodni Roštilj. I love nature, I love barbecue, and I love socializing. Thank God for the beautiful weather, great organization, and we’re really enjoying it,” said Željko Bebek, adding that this afternoon at Bundek is no different from what his family usually enjoys: “My wife, our two small children, and I always take advantage of nice weather.” He also noted that he is the only one present who does not consider barbecuing exclusively a man’s job: “My wife actually does it much better than I do!”
Mirna Maras admitted that her husband, Mario Valentić, is a true barbecue master: “I love barbecue—especially when there’s such great company around the table. For me, grilling is still reserved for men! We women are just here to wash the salad,” she joked.
Ribafish added: “When spring comes, if you don’t see me at a barbecue over the weekend, it means I’m either sick or crazy!”
While the stars enjoyed themselves around the grill, hundreds of visitors did the same. Some came to support the competing teams, others to enjoy ready-made food, while many spent time in the barbecue park with their families and friends.
All this abundance of fun and great food would not have been possible without the support of additional partners, including Jamnica, Vina Belje, Zvijezda, Kotányi, and Clarum.
